Describe yourself (personality/attitude/passions/beliefs):
I am looking for an authentic connection with a life partner who is learning how to express her emotions and needs without blame, listen with empathy, and stay connected even when we disagree. I feel most seen and loved when someone understands me and can validate my experience as separate and distinct from their own. I am committed to offer the same.
I thrive in nature, appreciate solitude, feel connected to all living things and people, and long for deep intimacy. I am passionate about finding truth – not in words but direct experience. I teach Insight Meditation and Conscious Communication skills, and practice them daily. I rekindle my connection with source each morning and throughout the day with presence, awareness, gratitude, and curiosity.
I believe in growing and wild harvesting my own food, affirming that I am part of the natural world which surrounds and nourishes me. I enjoy physical work outside with others. I love sensual intimacy, sunbathing, hot tub, sauna, swimming, cold plunge, and being by water. I like to make music together with hand drum, flute, guitar and singing. I like to dance - contra, square, waltz, and, ecstatic.
I take care of myself with intermittent fasting, eating fresh organic unprocessed foods - veggies, herbs, fruit, nuts, grain, legumes, and seafood. I enjoy making meals and consider food as medicine. I exercise daily - walking, swimming, working on the land, bicycling, sailing, kayaking, hiking.
I retired from owning and managing a small retreat center and organic farm, and now focus on teaching, coaching couples, writing, and stewarding a beautiful homestead and retreat on the shores of Lake Champlain. I have many friends, know my neighbors, and am part of a close-knit men’s healing community. I enjoy hosting gatherings with shared food, music making, and intentional circles.
I have been on a path of self-awareness and spiritual awakening since 1976. I appreciate plant medicine ceremonies and the wisdom of indigenous people. Some teachers who inspire me include Buddha and Christ (A Course in Miracles), Allen Watts, David Hawkins, Adayshanti, Byron Katie, Eckarte Tolle, Ajahn Succitto, Ram Dass, Terry Real, Marshall Rosenberg, and Carl Rogers.
I am in excellent health and enjoy an active lifestyle. I thrive on adventure as well as the safety and comfort of home and family. I enjoy staying home and tending the land in summer months. In winter months I love to travel and explore remote, beautiful, undeveloped places where people live close to the earth.
I am divorced since 2015 with no biological children. I am just coming out of grieving for the loss of my mother who passed away recently. I view a committed intimate relationship as a pathway to healing and personal growth. I am ready to start a new chapter of my life and find a partner to share it with.
