PROFILE UPDATE: I had an unfortunate accident and am now partially paralyzed from the waist down. I was in the ICU and rehab facilities for four months and have been home since March 2025. I am still the same active and creative person I was but now need to use a power wheelchair to get around. And I am still interested in meeting a life partner if someone would be understanding of my new challenges. I have a positive attitude, am happy and am working on getting stronger every day.

Hello! I am a graphic artist living in an 800 sq. ft. house with a large yard. I have a rain barrel to collect water, I have a large compost bin and I have been adding native plants to my gardens. I enjoy being in nature, exploring parks and museums, cooking and baking, photography, crafts like knitting and crocheting, and geology and astronomy. I like to be active learning, reading and creating.

I enjoy reading non-fiction/nature books by authors like Peter Matthiessen and John McPhee. I also enjoy reading poetry by Spanish writers like Lorca, Borges and Paz.
When I'm looking for inspiration for an art project I also read how-to books about painting, embroidery, knitting, etc.

The type of music I enjoy is varied and includes jazz, rock, world, reggae, classical, bluegrass, folk and blues.

I've done the Polar Bear Plunge three times.
